September 1st 1981: first mention of the Chaos Computer Club in the german leftist newspaper taz.

1984: first publication of the magazine "Die Datenschleuder"
"1984 schrieb Wau einfach in die taz, daß es die datenschleuder gab, woraufhin 800 bestellungen eingingen. Nun musste sie gemacht werden, natürlich als vollkompatibles Medium: als gedruckte Zeitschrift, abspielbar auf jedem Biocomputer."

1985: The Chaos Computer Club is featured at the Galerie Art d'Ameublement, Bielefeld.
